I started the foundation to honor my brother, Cam, who took his life on August 11th, 2002 – the day before his 20th birthday. Cam was one of a kind: all star athlete, handsome, well-loved and a man with a heart of gold. His suicide rocked our entire community of Red Wing, MN. He had been silently battling depression, something only our family, his doctor and counselor knew. Because of the perception of mental illness, he kept his battle from his friends. My mission is to erase the stigma of mental illness, empower people to feel safe and comfortable telling their loved ones they’re hurting, lift them up and give them hope that there is a life within and on the other side of mental struggles. We are here to help anyone who needs it! Please, help us make an impact by giving generously. You could be saving the life of someone you love.
